Seven tongues

Follow is published as a reactive paradigm and a symbolic meta-programming suite. These seven tongues are the layers the house names, from fractal strings down to an intermediate representation. They are a specification, licensed with the stack under AGPL, not a compiler delivered by this page.

Practice them as reductions. Each tongue should make the intention smaller and more checkable than the one above it. If a tongue only renames the paragraph, you have not entered it.

    Flow

    Fractal strings and permutation groups. The movement before the act. Follow’s first tongue, as specified for the language suite.

    Take one intention and write it as a permutation of three moves. Not a paragraph. Order is the content.

  2. 02

    Action

    Moduli spaces. Where a flow is allowed to sit, and where it is not.

    Name the space those three moves may occupy. Write one bound they are not allowed to cross.

  3. 03

    Maneuvers

    Weighted functionals of Flow and Action, for learning. The tongue CanorOS and AetherAI are said to speak.

    Weight the three moves. Which one teaches, which one only repeats, which one you would drop.

  4. 04

    United Interchange

    Arithmetic meta-schemas of the earlier tongues. A dataset-independent interchange, mined for orthonormality.

    Rewrite the same intention with no reference to the original names, files, or vendor. If you cannot, it was not independent.

  5. 05

    Elite

    Pragmatic procedurals of that interchange. The published examples are mov, jmp, cmp — bare metal and embedded.

    Reduce the intention to three primitives: move, jump, compare. If it needs a fourth word, you are not on this tongue yet.

    Follower

    The assembler. High-level languages intersected with Follow, so an ordinary program can meet the suite.

    Name the ordinary language you would actually write this in, and the one instruction that would not survive the intersection.

  7. 07

    Aether

    Machine-epsilon error mitigation, and the intermediate representation. The link. Not a mood, and not the agent’s name used as a synonym for wonder.

    Name the error you will tolerate and the error you will not. A number, or a consequence. Vague tolerance is not this tongue.
